About us

SHE Barre Sant Cugat was born from the strength of two women: the one who created the method, and the one who brings it to Sant Cugat del Vallès.

Ana Estela
Founder of SHE Barre

Ana Estela

Ana is a dancer by lineage and vocation. Trained initially in classical dance, she discovered the Barre method and it completely transformed the way she understood movement. She spent an entire year developing her own method through hundreds of classes and intensive study, until she shaped what SHE Barre is today.

She describes it as "a beautiful process of construction and creation, of mutual support between women". From this was born the SHE universe: a space grounded in authenticity, power and connection to the feminine, to accompany free, conscious women who are connected to their own strength.

Artistic Director, SHE Barre Sant Cugat

Alexandra Basmagy

Alexandra Basmagy grew up in New Jersey and knew from an early age that ballet would be her life. She trained at the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School at American Ballet Theatre —the school of the most prestigious company in the United States— and in 2008 crossed the Atlantic to become a founding member of Corella Ballet Castilla y León in Segovia, under the direction of Ángel Corella.

In 2011 she returned to New York to join American Ballet Theatre, where for over thirteen years she performed some of the great roles of the classical repertoire. In 2024, after a career built on the world's most demanding stages, she chose Sant Cugat.

Bilingual, a mother and Artistic Director of SHE Barre Sant Cugat, Alexandra now brings that discipline and elegance to a space designed for every woman to discover what her body is capable of —regardless of whether she has ever set foot in a ballet studio.
